Job Description

We are seeking a Medical Support Specialist to join our team at our Camp Hill, PA location. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, and reviewing laboratory test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine donor eligibility accurately and in a timely manner, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion.
  • Evaluate and manage donor reaction(s) that occur at the facility, following applicable SOPs.
  • Manage donor deferral, reviewing test results and notifying donors of unsuitable test results per applicable SOPs.
  • Initiate and investigate Post Donation Information (PDI) and refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when necessary.
  • Assist the EHS program as required, including conducting pre-placement evaluations of new hires and maintaining employee medical records.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized educational program.
  • Minimum of two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
