Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections, testing, and certification of Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE), including communication devices, oxygen systems, and survival gear.
- Oversee the assembly, repair, and maintenance of essential survival equipment such as life vests, emergency egress devices, and first aid kits.
- Manage the documentation and accountability of ALSE, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Provide training and instruction to aircrew members on the proper use and maintenance of ALSE, including survival techniques and emergency procedures.
- Coordinate the scheduling of inspections and maintain accurate records of equipment status and training certifications.
- Engage in the development of training materials and conduct evaluations to assess the proficiency of personnel in survival skills.
- Ensure the readiness of ALSE for various missions by certifying equipment configurations based on mission requirements.
- Participate in safety evaluations and inspections, contributing to the overall mission readiness of the unit.
Qualifications
- Military experience or training related to aviation life support systems.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and apply knowledge of aviation safety equipment.
- Strong communication skills for instructing personnel and conducting training sessions.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and operational efficiency.
Work Environment
