Position Overview
This role is within the Army National Guard Units, focusing on the maintenance and management of critical aviation life support systems. The position entails ensuring the safety and functionality of equipment vital for aircrew operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections, testing, and certification of Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE), including communication devices, oxygen systems, and survival gear.
  • Oversee the assembly, repair, and maintenance of essential survival equipment such as life vests, emergency egress devices, and first aid kits.
  • Manage the documentation and accountability of ALSE, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Provide training and instruction to aircrew members on the proper use and maintenance of ALSE, including survival techniques and emergency procedures.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of inspections and maintain accurate records of equipment status and training certifications.
  • Engage in the development of training materials and conduct evaluations to assess the proficiency of personnel in survival skills.
  • Ensure the readiness of ALSE for various missions by certifying equipment configurations based on mission requirements.
  • Participate in safety evaluations and inspections, contributing to the overall mission readiness of the unit.

Qualifications
  • Military experience or training related to aviation life support systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and apply knowledge of aviation safety equipment.
  • Strong communication skills for instructing personnel and conducting training sessions.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and operational efficiency.

Work Environment
