Position Overview:

ACS Professional Staffing is in search of a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to spearhead the software testing and quality control initiatives within a prominent manufacturing organization. This role involves leading a dedicated team of QA Engineers and creating effective automation frameworks. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience with automation technologies, exceptional leadership capabilities, and the aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced, automated setting. This is a full-time remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and mentor a team of QA Engineers, offering direction, coaching, and technical support
  • Design and execute thorough testing strategies, plans, and methodologies across various projects and development cycles
  • Collaborate with development teams to grasp requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Create and sustain automation frameworks utilizing industry-standard tools and best practices
  • Continuously enhance and streamline testing processes, tools, and frameworks for improved efficiency and effectiveness
  • Research and implement best practices for testing methodologies, techniques, and tools
  • Analyze and communicate test results, defects, and quality metrics to stakeholders
  • Engage in risk assessment, test planning, and estimation activities
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, coding practices, and processes across the team
  • Contribute to the overarching quality strategy and vision for the organization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance roles
  • Strong hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby for test automation
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycles, Agile methodologies, and testing best practices
  • Extensive experience with automation tools and infrastructure
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with performance testing, security testing, or other specialized testing domains is preferred
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms and CI/CD pipelines is advantageous
  • Knowledge of test management tools (e.g., TestRail, qTest, or similar) is a plus
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CAST, or similar) is preferred
  • Experience in leading and mentoring QA teams, providing technical guidance and coaching is highly desirable
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with experience interacting with staff at all levels
  • Exemplary analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn
