The Customer Quality Engineer plays a pivotal role in overseeing the prompt investigation and resolution of product and service discrepancies that arise at client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Investigation Management:**
- Lead the comprehensive investigation and resolution process for product and service failures encountered by customers.
- Enhance the non-conformance investigation methodologies to improve efficiency.
2. **Root Cause Analysis:**
- Utilize quality tools and techniques to determine both immediate and underlying causes of non-conformances.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for enhancement within the Quality Management System (QMS).
3. **Collaboration and Communication:**
- Work collaboratively with various departments, including Service & Support, R&D, Quality, Production, Sales, and Marketing, to swiftly address product and service discrepancies.
- Serve as the advocate for customer-centric solutions during the resolution of non-conformance issues.
4. **Performance Monitoring:**
- Prepare and present quality performance KPI reports, leading monthly quality steering committee meetings.
- Regularly assess customer metrics and provide insights to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering, Science, or Computing, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in project/program management and quality management systems.
- Familiarity with the Toyota Production System and root cause analysis techniques.
Skills Required:
- Strong analytical skills for identifying and resolving technical and business challenges.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in utilizing business management systems effectively.
Work Environment:
This role is primarily office-based but necessitates significant travel to client locations across the country. A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role is preferred, with a background in the automotive, aerospace, or robotics industries being advantageous.
