Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to become a vital part of our Probes Team within the Bruker BioSpin Group. This role encompasses:

  • Testing and validating repaired and returned equipment.
  • Running samples, analyzing results, and documenting findings.
  • Conducting requalification of used systems along with preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Providing technical support for the installation, servicing, and repair of probes and related equipment.
  • Collaborating closely with the Service and Support Center, Regional Service Management, and Applications Specialists.
  • Installing new or modified systems at customer locations, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Training customers on the basic operation of equipment.
  • Securing customer acceptance of installations and repairs.
  • Re-qualifying instruments post-service by running complex compounds for verification.
  • Acting as a communication bridge between customers and the company to ensure satisfaction.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of hands-on experience with NMR equipment.
  • Proficiency in running samples and interpreting Spectra reports.
  • Strong technical expertise in analytical instrumentation.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage with scientists holding advanced degrees.
  • Capability to read and understand technical schematics for troubleshooting.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs and transport equipment exceeding 300 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is necessary.
  • Must maintain a valid passport for potential travel.
