Job Summary

The Anesthesia Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the readiness of anesthesia service areas for use by Anesthesiologists and Anesthetists. This includes all operating rooms in the main OR, Cysto, and additional service areas such as OB, Radiology, MRI, pre-op, and PACU facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for anesthesia equipment and supplies, ensuring proper workflow in anesthesia, and adhering to infection control, health, and safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain anesthesia service areas in readiness for use
  • Responsible for anesthesia equipment and supplies
  • Ensure proper workflow in anesthesia
  • Adhere to infection control, health, and safety policies and procedures
Requirements
  • One year experience as Anesthesia Technician
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of medical/surgical and anesthetic terminology
  • Ability to work independently with good organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to see well and read in dim light
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate small equipment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as an Anesthesia Technician
