Job Summary

The Anesthesia Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the readiness of anesthesia service areas for use by Anesthesiologists and Anesthetists. This includes all operating rooms in the main OR and Cysto, as well as additional service areas such as OB, Radiology, MRI, pre-op, and PACU facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies in proper working order
  • Ensure proper workflow in anesthesia areas
  • Act as a preceptor and work independently
  • Comply with infection control, health, and safety policies and procedures
Requirements
  • One year experience as an Anesthesia Technician
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Basic mathematical skills and knowledge of medical/surgical and anesthetic terminology
  • Ability to work independently with good organizational skills and communicate effectively
  • Manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
