This includes all operating rooms in the main OR, Cysto, and additional service areas such as OB, Radiology, MRI, pre-op, and PACU facilities.
The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for anesthesia equipment and supplies, maintaining proper workflow, and adhering to infection control, health, and safety policies.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain anesthesia service areas in readiness for use
- Responsible for anesthesia equipment and supplies
- Maintain proper workflow in anesthesia
- Accountable to the Manager of Anesthesia Support Services and the OR manager
- One year experience as Anesthesia Technician
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic mathematical skills
- Knowledge of medical/surgical and anesthetic terminology
- Ability to work independently with good organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to see well and read in dim light
- Manual dexterity to manipulate small equipment
