Job Summary

The Anesthesia Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the readiness of anesthesia service areas for use by Anesthesiologists and Anesthetists. This includes all operating rooms in the main OR and Cysto, as well as additional service areas such as OB, Radiology, MRI, pre-op, and PACU facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies, ensuring proper workflow and accountability to the Manager of Anesthesia Support Services and the OR manager.
  • Work independently, with the ability to act as a preceptor and provide knowledge of and compliance with infection control, health, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless operations and high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • One year of experience as an Anesthesia Technician.
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic mathematical skills and knowledge of medical/surgical and anesthetic terminology.
  • Ability to work independently with good organizational skills, communicate effectively, and work cooperatively.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate small equipment and ability to move in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as an Anesthesia Technician.
