Job Summary

Village Green is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall operation of the maintenance department and ensuring the appearance and working order of our apartment community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of maintenance staff, including delegation of work orders, special projects, and time management techniques.
  • Inspect and oversee existing and completed work orders, ensuring high-quality results and timely completion.
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance requests, including HVAC, boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and other service requests.
  • Mentor and train new and existing maintenance staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in the interviewing and selection process for new maintenance team members.
  • Develop and implement energy management recommendations for the building, ensuring cost savings and sustainability.
  • Identify capital improvements and obtain required estimates and bids.
  • Assist in budget preparation for maintenance expenses, ensuring effective resource allocation.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a hotel, apartment, hospital maintenance or engineering role, with 2 years of supervisory experience leading a team.
  • Excellent customer service and computer skills.
  • Ability to create a team, mentor, and train a team.
  • Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, appliances, water heaters, chillers/boilers, and HVAC systems.
  • Proven track record of managing a preventative maintenance program and experience with capital projects.
