Job Title: Business Technologist Program Manager

At Syntricate Technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled Business Technologist Program Manager to lead our IT program management efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of our design program, providing leadership and guidance to a team of technical staff, and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of technology initiatives to our users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee IT initiatives and assign resources to project teams to complete deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with VITA policies, standards, and guidelines governing IT computer systems.
  • Oversee work and staff in assigned program to ensure consistent process and quality standards are implemented.
  • Supervise staff supporting assigned ITD function(s) and perform managerial and technical work ranging from simple to moderate difficulty.
  • Plan, oversee, and implement delivery of technology projects or services, and develop training plans for team members.
  • Work with peers and subordinates to define strategic direction for assigned technology program and evaluate tools and prioritize work efforts with stakeholders from ITD and business units.
  • Identify business processes that may be improved with technology solutions and create processes and tools to facilitate increased efficiencies.
  • Provide status reports on project plans, timelines, schedules, and progress updates, and participate in strategic planning for programs, projects, or systems.
  • Ensure compliance management and ensure that staff comply with required VITA, DHRM, VDOT, and ITD policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Track operational metrics on assigned ITD functions and apply those metrics to identify and improve function-specific processes.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in managing IT functions, including IT Governance and Compliance, Enterprise & Business Architecture, IT Service Mgmt, Asset Mgmt, Infrastructure and Ops, Application Development, PPM & Projects, or Data and BI Management.
  • Knowledge and skill with technologies and functions appropriate to leading an IT program area.
  • Ability to supervise technical staff and programs, supervise and coordinate multiple projects and teams of a complex and technical nature.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with diverse audiences and to make presentations and conduct meetings.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures in an IT environment, organize and prioritize activities, perform system analysis and design, and collect and organize performance metric data to present to management.
