Job Overview

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will adopt a proactive approach to focus on team development, culinary proficiency, safety standards, and client engagement. The Culinary Operations Supervisor will also be instrumental in achieving budgetary goals and implementing company initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train and oversee kitchen staff while coordinating all culinary operations.
  • Forecast food requirements and manage procurement processes.
  • Develop and refine recipes, ensuring consistency in quality through standardized production methods.
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality benchmarks, as well as plan and price menus.
  • Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, adhering to safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Manage special catering events and may provide culinary training or demonstrations.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • 2-3 years of post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Culinary degree is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of food service principles and practices.
  • Experience in managing personnel and resolving issues.
  • Strong oral, reading, and written communication skills.
