We are currently seeking a skilled Residential Operations Manager to oversee our chapter house, which accommodates 78 residents within a spacious 30,000 square foot facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a secure and efficient environment for residents and staff, responding effectively to emergencies.
  • Collaborate closely with the property management team, overseeing various service providers.
  • Report house maintenance concerns to the house corporation board on a weekly basis.
  • Supervise and manage housekeeping personnel, working alongside the culinary team to oversee kitchen operations.
  • Communicate any notable trends or issues within the chapter to the chapter adviser.
  • Maintain regular and professional communication with the chapter president and director of house management.
  • Coordinate and manage special events hosted at the chapter house, including open houses and initiation ceremonies.
  • Act as the official host for social events held at the chapter house.
  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere within the residence.
  • Manage a credit card for minor expenses.
  • Comply with campus, fraternity, and chapter policies and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Residential Operations Manager, preferably within a larger chapter.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Proficient in basic functions of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, with a willingness to learn advanced mechanical and IT systems.
  • Positive, solution-focused attitude.
  • Professional and diplomatic interaction with students, parents, alumnae, service providers, and community resources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with college-age women with patience and flexibility.
  • Physical capability to navigate multiple flights of stairs and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

Time Commitment and Benefits:

A suite, utilities, cable, and internet are provided, along with all meals during resident occupancy.
The position requires a commitment of forty hours per week, with the expectation of being onsite overnight, seven nights a week, unless alternative adult supervision arrangements have been made.
