Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Engineering Director to lead our engineering team specializing in ASME pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and cryogenic products. Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Develop and execute strategic plans for the engineering department, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
    • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to commercialization, managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Product Development
    • Drive the development of new products and the enhancement of existing products, ensuring compliance with ASME standards and customer requirements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and marketing to ensure successful product launches.
    • Utilize the latest technologies and methodologies to improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Engineering Change Management
    • Develop and implement engineering change management processes to ensure systematic and efficient handling of product modifications.
    • Oversee the evaluation, approval, and documentation of engineering changes, ensuring minimal disruption to production and supply chain.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to communicate changes, assess impacts, and ensure successful implementation.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Ensure all designs comply with ASME Pressure Vessel Code and other relevant industry standards.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex engineering challenges, including design reviews and failure analysis.
    • Stay current with advancements in product technology, integrating relevant innovations into product designs.
  • Project Management
    • Develop and manage project plans, including scope, schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues or roadblocks that arise.
    • Report on project status, risks, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Quality
    • Ensure all products meet applicable ASME codes, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
    • Implement and maintain robust quality control processes and procedures to guarantee product integrity and safety.
    • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Serve as the primary technical liaison with clients, providing expert advice and addressing inquiries related to pressure vessel and heat exchanger design and performance.
    • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and reports to clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in pressure vessel and heat exchanger design and development.
  • Proven experience in product development and engineering change management.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) and related standards.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and FEA tools.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with a track record of managing complex engineering projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of production processes and quality control.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
  • Experience with heat exchanger design and thermal analysis.
  • Experience with cryogenic product and process design
  • Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies
