Job Title: Director, IT Network Engineering Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, IT Network Engineering Systems to join our team at Brightspeed. As a key member of our IT leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the IT initiatives in the engineering and construction domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement IT strategies and roadmaps for engineering systems, aligning with the organization's engineering and business objectives.
  • System Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of engineering systems and applications, ensuring stability, reliability, performance, and security.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects related to engineering systems, including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a team of IT professionals specialized in engineering systems, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Vendor and Budget Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and overseeing the procurement of technology solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to engineering systems, evaluating and recommending new technologies and tools.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure engineering systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices, implementing and maintaining security measures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT management, with a focus on engineering systems or technical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering systems, including CAD, PLM, ERP, and other relevant tools.
  • Extensive experience in and around telecom solutions, system stacks, and operational needs.
  • Experience in leading large programs spanning technology, business operations, and customer life cycle.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Effective leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and data protection regulation.
  • Experience in cloud technologies.
