The Logistics Specialist is tasked with the operation, upkeep, and cleanliness of delivery vehicles. Responsibilities include making local deliveries and maintaining communication with the Warehouse Delivery Center for instructions regarding pickups and deliveries, alongside other general warehouse responsibilities. While warehouse organization, shipping, and receiving are minimal, candidates should possess mechanical aptitude and proficiency with tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully listening to customers' descriptions of computer issues and accurately identifying problems to determine appropriate solutions.
- Assessing and evaluating the technological needs of clients.
- Conducting repairs on electronic devices.
- Troubleshooting both network and individual user hardware or software issues.
- Setting up or repairing computer hardware and associated devices, including printers and scanners.
- Driving delivery vehicles along designated routes.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of delivery vehicles, including ensuring they are ready for the next day’s operations.
- Performing minor maintenance on vehicles, such as tightening loose components and inspecting moving parts.
- Monitoring and reporting the need for significant repairs, including engine tune-ups and oil changes.
- Executing daily pickups and deliveries at established locations.
- Loading and unloading a 17' Box Truck and/or Vans.
- Ensuring safe vehicle operation and maintaining a professional appearance by adhering to company policies and standards.
- Receiving materials from the warehouse and delivering them to the correct locations.
- Collaborating with Warehouse and School personnel to guarantee timely deliveries, including order pulling and inventory management.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience in a computer technician role or similar IT capacity is typically required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage responsibilities efficiently.
- Ability to safely operate vehicles.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues, supervisors, customers, and the public.

- Ability to work independently and perform manual tasks in varying weather conditions.
- Capacity to make independent judgments that may impact the organization.
- Ability to compose routine reports and correspondence.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred; one to three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess and maintain a current and valid Driver's License.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
