Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them to achieve their full potential and live independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living tasks, medication administration, and behavioral interventions.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager and other staff members to ensure a safe and supportive living environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of developmental disabilities.
  • Assist with daily program operations, including scheduling, record-keeping, and communication with clients and families.
Requirements
  • Valid CT driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Medication Administration Certification within 4 months of hire.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with adults who are developmentally disabled.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and guide other staff while acting on behalf of the Program Manager.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current issues in the field of Developmental Disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or an Associate's Degree and one year of experience in the Human Services field.
  • High school diploma or GED with two years of experience in the Human Services field.
Work Schedule

Wednesday 11pm-8am, Thursday 11pm-9am, Friday 11pm-7am & Saturday 11pm-11am
