Job SummaryThe Residential Instructor will provide direct care and support to clients in a residential setting, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to creating a positive and therapeutic environment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide direct care and support to clients, including medication administration, meal preparation, and daily living activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in client behavior or medical status to the supervisor and program manager.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful team environment, promoting open communication and collaboration.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support to clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced residential setting.
- A valid CT driver's license and good driving record.
Experience working in the human services field, particularly in residential settings, is highly desirable. A degree in a related field, such as social work or psychology, is also preferred.
