Job Summary

The Residential Instructor will provide direct care and support to clients in a residential setting, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to creating a positive and therapeutic environment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  2. Provide direct care and support to clients, including medication administration, meal preparation, and daily living activities.
  3. Monitor and report any changes in client behavior or medical status to the supervisor and program manager.
  4. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  5. Contribute to a positive and respectful team environment, promoting open communication and collaboration.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support to clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced residential setting.
  • A valid CT driver's license and good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in the human services field, particularly in residential settings, is highly desirable. A degree in a related field, such as social work or psychology, is also preferred.
