Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Residential Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to clients with developmental disabilities, while also assisting with the overall running of the residential home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living skills and provide emotional support as needed.
  • Assist with the development of programs for each client based on their individual needs.
  • Work with consultants to ensure necessary services are provided to clients.
  • Conduct oneself as a good role model to clients and staff.
  • Participate in all staff meetings to enhance services provided to clients.
  • Aid in maintaining positive relationships with the community.
  • Familiarize oneself with CRI policies and procedures.
  • Help maintain a clean program site.
  • Provide supervision to staff while working within the staff complement.

Requirements:

  • Valid CT driver's license and good driving record.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Medication Administration Certification within 4 months of hire.
  • Demonstrate organizational ability.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Demonstrate ability to supervise and guide other staff.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current issues in the field of Developmental Disabilities.
