We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Residential Instructor. This role is responsible for providing support and guidance to clients with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients with daily living skills, such as personal care and household chores.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Provide supervision and guidance to staff while working within the staff complement.
- Assist with scheduling and maintaining adequate staffing when staff patterns are interrupted.
- Ensure that data sheets are current and complete.
- Participate in the Interdisciplinary Team process and provide input and write reports as needed.
- Valid CT driver's license and a good driving record required.
- Must be able to become certified in CPR and First Aid.
- Must be able to become Medication Administration Certified within 4 months of hire.
- Demonstrate organizational ability.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with adults who are developmentally disabled.
- Demonstrate ability to supervise and guide other staff.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current issues in the field of Developmental Disabilities.
Bachelor's Degree, or an Associates Degree and one (1) year experience in the Human Services Field. Or: a high school diploma or GED with two (2) years' experience in the Human Services field.
Shifts: Saturday 3p-11p, Sunday 11a-9p, Monday 3p-10p, Tuesday 3p-11p
