Job Title: Converting Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled Converting Machine Operator to join our team at Pregis. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for monitoring the operation of assigned converting machines to ensure product quality, safety, and throughput.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and promote Pregis' core values of integrity, collaboration, customer focus, and innovation.
  • Adhere to company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations, including personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Perform physical and visual inspections of product to prevent non-conforming goods and report quality defects to team members.
  • Maintain production supplies and materials to ensure minimal downtime for next shift operators.
  • Monitor machine operation to ensure accurate product measurements and quality.
  • Meet or exceed production rates, minimize waste levels, and meet customer requirements.
  • Enter production reporting data into machine computer and collaborate with Set-up Technicians to troubleshoot issues.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions, and adhere to safe work practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and during shift transitions.
  • Prior SAP or similar ERP system knowledge is a plus.
Work Environment:

Exposure to moving equipment, inside work, heat, humidity, and noise levels may exceed 85dB+.

Frequent standing, stooping, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs before partner assist.

Occasional typing.
