Job Summary: The Next Generation Additive Manufacturing Research Laboratory (NextGen AMRL) is in search of a skilled technician specializing in additive manufacturing.
This role necessitates proven experience with a range of advanced additive manufacturing technologies, encompassing both fusion-based and solid-state methods across various length scales.
The ideal candidate should possess 2-5 years of operational experience with these technologies, which includes system maintenance, feedstock management, and the necessary CAM/CAD and slicing expertise to support the additive manufacturing of diverse components and materials.
A key responsibility of this position is to offer guidance and training to graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, assisting them in executing experiments that align with their research goals, including the development of processes for new materials.
A willingness to learn about emerging technologies is essential.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
Additive Manufacturing Systems, Metal Powder Management (including storage and disposal), Machining, Process Development, G-Code implementation, CAD/CAM, topological optimization.

Preferred Education/Experience:
Minimum of an associate's degree plus 2-5 years of relevant industrial experience.
