Job Summary

As a Technology Specialist at SCAD, you will be at the forefront of innovation, providing on-site support for Apple and Windows-based applications and processing systems. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for clients with various issues such as network services, email, and internet access.
  • Document procedures and work performed to ensure efficient support and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain the computer asset inventory for assigned areas and provide weekly event support for audio-visual needs.
  • Stay current on technology and attend training workshops internally and externally to enhance your skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field.
  • Two years of experience or relevant training.
  • Familiarity with Apple or Windows-based hardware and software.
  • Ability to move monitors, CPUs, and other equipment between locations.
  • Ability to work outside office hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Interest in digital video and animation.
  • Background in art.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registration
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Travel Required
  • Less than 10%.
Work Hours

The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
