Position Overview:

In a collaborative setting, the Structural Mechanic I will engage in various structural assembly tasks under moderate oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Duties:

  • Execute the assembly and fitting of components and structures, employing diverse drilling and riveting techniques to meet specifications.
  • Utilize tools such as portable riveting guns and pneumatic drills for riveting structural assemblies and components.
  • Interpret work orders, blueprints, and operational documentation to ascertain the order of tasks and rivet hole configurations.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of all work to guarantee flawless assembly.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of work performed.
  • Align and assemble components using suitable fixtures and fasteners.
  • Ensure a tidy work environment and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Contribute to Lean initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Carry out any other assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications for an Ideal Candidate:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in structural assembly.
  • Familiarity with Solumina and Smarteam is advantageous.
  • Graduates of Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program may receive experience credit.

Other Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in shop mathematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit good housekeeping and safety practices.
  • Ability to work with composite materials and resins.
  • Willingness to work any shift, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation: The hourly wage for this role is $21.21.
