About the Role

PULLMAN, a leading contracting services provider, is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join its team. As a key member of our Operations division, you will be responsible for estimating complex construction projects that enhance the nation's infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Estimate Preparation: Calculate statistical data, including quantity take-offs, material prices, labor costs, and equipment expenses, to create comprehensive estimates for projects.
  2. Scope Definition: Define and quantify project scope, preparing conceptual, budgetary, and construction cost estimates.
  3. Historical Data Analysis: Review and research historical data to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates.
  4. Sales Opportunities: Maintain involvement in uncovering sales opportunities with prospective and existing customers.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management (preference given to candidates with this background).
  2. Experience: 10+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably in a related industry involving concrete repair projects.
  3. Project Estimation: Ability to estimate projects of moderate complexity up to $10 Million.
  4. Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work with a team to estimate projects.
  5. Specification Requirements: Ability to evaluate, quantify, and capture specification requirements within the estimate.
  6. Construction Contracts: Prior experience working with terms & conditions in construction contracts.
  7. Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the greater San Francisco construction market, including current market prices and clients.
  8. Client Relationships: Previous experience maintaining client relationships while performing light business development.
  9. Construction Math and Computer Skills: Demonstrated construction math and computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and/or construction estimating software, as well as the ability to read blueprints.
  10. Travel: Ability to travel 10-20%.
