Key Responsibilities- Estimate Preparation: Calculate statistical data, including quantity take-offs, material prices, labor costs, and equipment expenses, to create comprehensive estimates for projects.
- Scope Definition: Define and quantify project scope, preparing conceptual, budgetary, and construction cost estimates.
- Historical Data Analysis: Review and research historical data to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates.
- Sales Opportunities: Maintain involvement in uncovering sales opportunities with prospective and existing customers.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management (preference given to candidates with this background).
- Experience: 10+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably in a related industry involving concrete repair projects.
- Project Estimation: Ability to estimate projects of moderate complexity up to $10 Million.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work with a team to estimate projects.
- Specification Requirements: Ability to evaluate, quantify, and capture specification requirements within the estimate.
- Construction Contracts: Prior experience working with terms & conditions in construction contracts.
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the greater San Francisco construction market, including current market prices and clients.
- Client Relationships: Previous experience maintaining client relationships while performing light business development.
- Construction Math and Computer Skills: Demonstrated construction math and computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and/or construction estimating software, as well as the ability to read blueprints.
- Travel: Ability to travel 10-20%.
