Reports To: Service Operations Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities: Field Technicians

Role Summary: The Regional Service Manager serves as a hands-on leader responsible for recruiting, training, and assigning technicians to various districts while actively engaging with them in their designated areas. This role includes setting clear job expectations, monitoring technician performance, and managing the annual review process while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Field Technicians.
  • Conduct interviews, hire, and train new technicians.
  • Collaborate closely with field technicians to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with dispatch to ensure technicians are following the service schedule.

Customer Focus:

  • Identify and address customer issues promptly and effectively.
  • Train staff on efficient route planning and service delivery.
  • Oversee the training of employees to assess new customer locations and implement necessary training to meet contract obligations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and hold employees accountable.
  • Resolve any technician-related issues that arise daily.

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure all vehicles and facilities meet company standards.
  • Drive productivity among technicians.
  • Balance and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks to maintain service excellence.
  • Participate in regular management meetings.

Daily Duties:

  • Review regional performance metrics each morning.
  • Engage with each technician in your district daily.
  • Communicate with dispatch for route updates.
  • Check in with the Service Operations Manager regularly.
  • Ensure timely completion of scheduled work orders.
  • Maintain scheduling for all districts under your oversight.
  • Assist with deliveries as needed.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday: Visit assigned routes.
  • Tuesday: Quality control and hold service and safety meetings.
  • Wednesday: Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely and safe job completion.
  • Thursday: Meet with maintenance directors and customers as required.
  • Friday: Review and adjust schedules for the upcoming week.

Education and Experience:

  • Two years of experience in the HVAC industry or previous management experience.
  • Preferred: Associate degree in business management from an accredited institution.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and flexibility.
  • Ability to follow through on tasks effectively.
  • Experience in customer service and public interaction.
  • General knowledge of HVAC systems is beneficial but not mandatory.

Compensation:

Salary range: $40,000 - $45,000 per year.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Willingness to travel up to 75% preferred.
