Job Overview

The State of Vermont is seeking a skilled Deputy State's Attorney to join our team in the counties of Bennington, Franklin, Lamoille, and Windham. As a Deputy State's Attorney, you will represent the State's Attorney's Office in prosecuting criminal and certain civil offenses within the County. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in criminal justice work and acquiring substantial experience in trial work.

Key Responsibilities

Represent the State's Attorney's Office in prosecuting criminal and civil offenses
Manage a caseload effectively and assist other offices as needed
Work collaboratively with law enforcement, community agencies, and other partners
Pursue best practices, innovative approaches, and positive outcomes in the justice system

Requirements

J.D. degree and admission to the Vermont Bar are required. Courtroom and jury trial experience is desirable.
