Job Opportunity:

Veit CO is a leading specialty contractor with over 96 years of experience in the civil construction industry. We are seeking a highly skilled 3D Modeling Specialist to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with our estimating teams to perform take-offs and provide quantities for earthwork and underground utilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities.

A Day in the Life:
  • Develop 3D models of site plans for use in GPS Machine Control and site staking/layout equipment.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts in design data to ensure project accuracy.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of civil and commercial construction drawings/plans.
  • Prepare project take-offs for estimating teams in both earthwork and utility groups.
  • Conduct surveys for earthwork quantity reporting and as-builts.
  • Produce quantity reports for project managers and site superintendents.
  • Process and prepare 3D point cloud drone data for earthwork quantities to project teams.
  • Ensure high-quality data structure and attention to detail.
  • Communicate project updates with the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements:
  • Two years' minimum related experience or related experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Working knowledge of Trimble software, including Trimble Business Center, Agtek, AutoCAD Civil 3D software suite, and drone processing software preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to pursue training and development opportunities.
Other:
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Requires 8 to 10-hour workdays, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends as needed.
