Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Modeling Specialist to join our team at Simmons Bank. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing statistically driven models to assess credit risk and ensure the bank's financial stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and implement third-party credit risk models, including Moody's RiskCalc and CMM, to ensure accurate risk assessments.
  • Develop and manage economic capital models to support Treasury and Profitability organization decision-making.
  • Estimate loan behavior assumptions, such as prepayments, defaults, and utilization, to inform credit risk modeling.
  • Own and refine the Capital Stress Testing program to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • MS/MA degree in economic modeling, financial modeling, applied mathematics, statistics, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in loan portfolio/credit risk modeling, preferably at a financial institution.
  • Experience using Moody's suite of credit risk models and liquidity and capital stress testing models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
