Position Summary:

We are in search of a Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships within the Life Sciences sector. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth and market presence for VMS by fostering business expansion with our existing pharmaceutical clients and establishing collaborations with new brands. You will be responsible for nurturing relationships with key decision-makers, showcasing the value of our offerings, and identifying innovative growth avenues.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of our clients' business challenges and be adept at translating these into effective VMS solutions, thereby enhancing our current client portfolio through broader adoption of our services. A proven track record in cultivating life science business relationships through engagement with senior stakeholders and executing enterprise-level cross-selling initiatives is essential.

This role involves collaboration with various internal teams, including Executive, Client Solutions, Business Development, and Marketing. The position is remote, with an expectation of regular travel for client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategic vision for expanding VMS's existing client business by staying informed about the latest developments in client portfolios and current VMS programs.
  • Identify and pursue new growth opportunities with clients, particularly with brands not currently engaged, while managing revenue targets.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to facilitate business expansion.
  • Provide insights and solutions based on thorough analysis of client needs and challenges, leveraging expertise and thought leadership.
  • Employ an entrepreneurial, consultative, and relationship-focused sales approach.
  • Oversee the sales process from opportunity identification to closure.

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in business development or client services roles with sales responsibilities in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Demonstrated success in engaging and building relationships with senior-level stakeholders (VP level and above) in life science organizations.
  • Proven ability to manage the complete sales cycle for deals exceeding $1M.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a consultative sales approach and the ability to value-sell.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create compelling presentations.
  • In-depth knowledge of the commercial biopharmaceutical industry, particularly in patient services and market access.
  • Strategic thinker capable of developing account-specific strategies to navigate complex sales cycles.
  • Experience collaborating across internal teams to implement growth initiatives.
  • Results-oriented problem solver with a proactive approach and readiness to engage hands-on.
  • A preference for working in a fast-paced environment that embraces change and growth.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $140,000 and $175,000, with additional commission opportunities. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, including education, experience, and competency for the role. Some positions may offer a car allowance and eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
