About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team at Altec Industries, Inc. As an Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on our aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, and other heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Utilize technical resources, including operator and maintenance manuals, to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
  • Conduct Unit Condition Inspections and Reports to identify potential problems and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to Altec's safety practices and procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Altec's products and services, as well as industry trends and best practices
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in a related field a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
