Job Summary

Virtual is seeking an experienced Senior AP Analyst to lead the company's global accounts payable process for all entities. As a key member of the accounting team, you will ensure timeliness and accuracy of processing vendor invoices, general ledger classifications, and compliance to company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's global accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of vendor invoice processing
  • Manage approval workflows in EAS, collaborating with third-party vendors as needed
  • Oversee annual tax reporting process (1099 and 1042) for all entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Assist senior accountants with accounting and reporting for management company entities, ensuring compliance with policies and consistency of reporting and controls
  • Develop and maintain formal weekly cash reconciliations for assigned company management entities
  • Monitor cash flows, recommending funding requests to maintain balances
  • Maintain intercompany reconciliations between management company entities, assisting with monthly intercompany invoices as needed
  • Review and approve Travel and Entertainment expenses on a monthly basis
  • Coordinate quarterly and ad hoc reporting to management
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to streamline processes and recommend improvements to policies and procedures
  • Assist with annual audit of management company entities and budget process as needed

Requirements

  • 2-year degree in accounting (with 4 years of relevant experience) or 4-year degree in accounting (with 2 years of relevant experience)
  • Strong technical accounting skills, specifically related to accounts payable and taxes
  • Demonstrated focus on controls and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including building internal and external relationships
  • Ability to independently manage projects or tasks to agreed-upon timelines
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Demonstrated high performance and self-motivation with a high level of initiative and innovative thinking
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-energy, time-sensitive team environment

This role is eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, healthcare plan, and 401(k) matching program.

Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education.
