Position Overview

As a vital member of our team, the Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment within our facility. This role encompasses a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of our workspace.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform thorough cleaning of tables, chairs, cabinets, counters, and appliances in common areas.
  2. Vacuum carpets, dust surfaces, and manage waste disposal effectively.
  3. Ensure windows and doors are cleaned regularly to maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
  4. Conduct minor maintenance duties, including changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, and handling basic plumbing and carpentry tasks.
  5. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of outdoor areas, including grounds and parking lots.
  6. Assist with recycling efforts and the organization of shipping materials.
  7. Regularly inspect and clean restrooms, ensuring supplies are replenished as needed.
  8. Receive and organize supplies from vendors, managing inventory efficiently.
  9. Uphold a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  10. Maintain confidentiality regarding all personnel and operational information.
  11. Be adaptable and willing to cross-train in various areas to support business needs.
  12. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in custodial services is preferred, along with the ability to follow both oral and written instructions effectively.

The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as the capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
