Job Summary

Heritage Environmental Services is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to lead the continued development and operations of our business line. This role is responsible for ensuring the financial performance, customer satisfaction, and compliance with governmental regulations and Company policies/procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Manage the day-to-day activities of the business line.
  • Client Satisfaction: Ensure client satisfaction at all times.
  • Goal Setting: Set and achieve goals for the business line.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Identify business opportunities associated with changing regulations and make recommendations for necessary action.
  • Sales and Marketing: Ensure proper sales training and marketing functions are accomplished for new business opportunities.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Facilitate interactions between departments and all other Heritage departments.
  • Compliance and Policy: Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Location regulations and Company policies and procedures.
  • Human Resources: Interview, hire, train, manage, evaluate performance, discipline, and discharge employees as needed.
  • Financial Management: Monitor cost of operations, dictate pricing and profitability, and prepare and audit various mandatory reports.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Continuously monitor programs for efficiency improvement.
  • Proposal Development: Assist in proposal development and attend pre-bid meetings.

Requirements:

  • Education: Four-year college degree required; finance or business major preferred.
  • Experience: Five or more years of related business experience required, with reasonable P and L experience and experience with TSDF's preferred.
  • Knowledge and Abilities: Thorough knowledge and understanding of all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations pertaining to the environmental services industry. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, oral communications, writing, and customer service skills are required. Strong software abilities in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Access are also required.
