Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Network Security Engineer to join our team at NXP Semiconductors. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Deploy Network Security Solutions: Utilize Palo Alto Networks technologies to ensure the highest levels of security and performance for our organization's network.
  • Develop and Implement Security Policies: Create and enforce network security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect our infrastructure.
  • Monitor and Analyze Network Traffic: Identify and mitigate security threats and vulnerabilities through regular monitoring and analysis of network traffic.
  • Perform Security Assessments and Penetration Testing: Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning to ensure the integrity of our network.
  • Respond to Security Incidents: Collaborate with IT and security teams to respond to and mitigate security incidents and breaches.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Security Trends: Maintain current knowledge of the latest security threats, trends, and technologies to ensure our network remains secure.
  • Provide Technical Guidance: Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior network security engineers to ensure knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Report on Network Security Status: Prepare and present detailed reports on network security status and incidents to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in working in an enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer) are highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Expert-level engineering knowledge in designing, implementing, and managing Palo Alto firewalls, Prisma Access, GlobalProtect, and proxy solutions.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience managing and maintaining a firewall inspection VPC in an AWS environment, including expertise in configuring and optimizing security groups, network access control lists (NACLs), route tables, and other relevant AWS networking components.
  • Security Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of network security protocols, firewall technologies, and VPN solutions.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • DevOps Knowledge: Basic understanding of Terraform, Cloudformation, Ansible, REST API, and similar DevOps coding and concepts.
  • Agile Framework: Familiarity with SAFe Agile Framework and way of working.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with managing DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management, and NTP solutions is seen as an advantage.
