Key Responsibilities:
  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, document, and schedule work within our Site Communication Request System (SCoReS)
    • Analyze current infrastructure to identify telecommunication potential, gaps, improvements, and risks
    • Work with network project managers, architects, and specialists to develop projects and initiatives
  • Project Management:
    • Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring network projects within SCoReS
    • Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements and are completed on time and within budget
  • Vendor Management:
    • Evaluate potential vendors and service providers for network solutions
    • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships
  • Communication:
    • Assist network design engineers in the creation of detailed project definitions
    • Facilitate communication between IT teams and present to sponsors and stakeholders the status of the communication track of business initiatives
  • Learning & Development:
    • Participate in training programs and shadow experienced network architects and project management professionals
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in project management, computer science, technology, engineering, or business-related program
  • Totaling at least three years as an analyst in a similar role
  • Working with utility or industrial network professionals
  • Assembling general engineering documentation
  • Using terminology of underlying communications technologies including fiber (outside the plant), digital microwave, field area networks, SCADA/RTU communications, routing & switching
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
  • Pursuit of project management certification desired
  • Ability to learn new concepts in information technology, learn the characteristics of new systems and update skills to adapt to changing technology
  • Detail-oriented, motivated, focused, and hard-working
