This is an exciting opportunity for analytical individuals to join a growing strategic consultancy and market report business. As a Graduate Consulting Analyst, you will be part of a highly successful and friendly team based in the US, working on a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

The Role

As a Graduate Consulting Analyst, your duties will include:

  • Quantifying and estimating market sizes, identifying key players and market shares, and analyzing market trends through desk and telephone research
  • Ensuring statistics are consistent and accurate
  • Developing what-if financial and market sizing models
  • Formatting and devising market research surveys
  • Writing high-quality commentary on research conducted, including key learnings and implications
  • Developing high-quality graphical representations of data, analyses, and learnings
  • Presenting and defending research and modeling results
  • Defining approach and developing costing and pricing estimates on quantitative elements of proposals
  • Maintaining, updating, and expanding SMI's internal print, packaging, and other market databases

Requirements

We require the following skills, education, and experience for the Graduate Consulting Analyst role:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, or economics
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate logically, succinctly, precisely, and clearly in written and verbal form
  • Data translation and analysis using Excel functionality
  • Ability to read financial statements and create economic and financial models from scratch
  • Familiarity with Porter's Five Forces and other industry and market analysis frameworks
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks to hard deadlines
