Job Summary

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Surgical Pathology Fellow to join our team. This one-year non-ACGME certified fellowship provides a comprehensive educational experience designed to develop outstanding diagnostic and leadership skills in surgical pathology.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic interpretation of H&E and ancillary diagnostic tests for in-house cases and extramural consultations
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and frozen section and surgical pathology call coverage
  • Supervise the gross room and teach residents and medical students at the microscope
  • Complete a quality improvement project, educational initiative, or research project with a subspecialty faculty mentor
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a certified U.S. based pathology residency program
  • Board eligible or board certified in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology by The American Board of Pathology
  • Unrestricted WI Medical License required by start date
