Job Summary:

The General Manager is the face of Tatte Holdings LLC within our communities and to our guests. A GM is responsible for all facets of café operations dedicated to delivering a warm, authentic and inspiring environment for both guests and team members, to thoughtful leadership, and to overall restaurant performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Ownership: Demonstrates complete ownership of the business including total responsibility for the four walls and P&L ownership.
  • Guest Experience: Models authentic, warm guest experience and is responsible for instilling great service in team.
  • Team Management: Ensures the café is optimally staffed with individuals that embody Tatte's values.
  • Performance Management: Demonstrates keen people performance management skills with the ability to identify talent and develop managers and hourly team members.
  • Leadership: Displays skill in leading and navigating hard conversations.
  • Brand Standards: Continuously upholds Tatte brand and visual standards.
  • Operational Execution: Leads team members through effective and efficient operational execution.
  • Food Safety: Ensures Food Safety in the café.
  • Change Management: Leads all café-level change management activities to ensure effective and accurate communication of new product, service and operational information that is able to be acted upon by the team.
  • Financial Management: Ensures food, labor and controllable costs stay consistently within guardrails set by the company.
  • Administrative Tasks: Oversees all café administrative requirements.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs (including days, evenings, weekends, and as emergencies arise).
  • Able to work ten hour-plus shifts, plus ability to stand, sit, squat or walk for extended periods of time, walk up and down stairs, and read.
  • Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working as a General Manager, preferably in a high-volume, full service and/or polished fast casual restaurant.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, ever changing work environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • High integrity and professionalism.
  • High School education or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hospitality Education: B.S. in Hospitality Management and/or A.S. Hotel and Restaurant Management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Previous experience working with UltiPro, Toast - POS System, CrunchTime/TeamworX.
  • ServSafe, Allergen and ChokeSaver Certifications.
