Job SummaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic and meticulous Entry-Level IT Helpdesk Technician to join our team. As a Helpdesk Technician, you will be responsible for delivering on-site technical assistance and supporting various IT initiatives, collaborating with System Administrators and IT Support Engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first-tier helpdesk support, serving as the initial point of contact for technical support and providing installation, configuration, and troubleshooting assistance for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Maintain and troubleshoot technical issues within our manufacturing environment, including peripheral devices, printers, and tablets.
- Provide assistance with office technology, such as printers, workstations, and mobile devices, ensuring all IT equipment operates smoothly to enhance the user experience.
- Manage IT assets by maintaining inventory records, overseeing the lifecycle of equipment, and handling the secure destruction of outdated or broken assets.
- Provide technical support through in-person interactions, remote assistance, and phone calls, ensuring a positive user experience across all communication methods.
- Basic understanding of IT hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear instructions and support.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a helpdesk or technical support role is a plus, but not required.
As a Helpdesk Technician at INW, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and challenging environment, contributing to the enhancement and optimization of IT systems. We offer flexible work hours to fit around academic schedules and a competitive compensation package.
SHIFT (PART-TIME): Mon/Wed/Fri 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. local time OR Tues/Thurs 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. local time. Shift is flexible based on class schedule/availability.
LOCATION: This position will be located at our Dallas facility on Champion Drive in Carrollton, TX.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This role reports to the Director of Infrastructure & IT Operations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
