Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Director of HVAC Sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and convey the general architecture and applications of data centers to internal stakeholders, aligning them with ABB's LV drive products.
  • Identify and prioritize significant business development opportunities, targeting a pipeline equal to or exceeding 100 million USD for the HVAC business unit.
  • Utilize both global and localized knowledge to develop comprehensive short and long-term business strategies.
  • Understand industry dynamics and the decision-making processes that influence product specifications and purchasing decisions.
  • Establish ABB as the preferred supplier within the industry by navigating the 'Approved Vendor List' criteria.
  • Stay informed on technology trends and shifts, translating industry requirements into actionable insights for product utilization.
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing to curate industry-specific product offerings and promotional materials.
  • Engage in relevant trade shows and industry associations to enhance visibility and networking.
  • Support Regional Sales Managers and Channel Managers by sharing insights and coordinating efforts with local teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including C-suite executives, to foster business growth.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the HVACR sales management team.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and workplace regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with 10 years of experience.
  • Experience in a complex business environment, particularly in selling technical products to data centers, EV battery facilities, semiconductor manufacturing, or crypto mining.
  • In-depth knowledge of motor and drive systems, along with familiarity with the HVACR market.
  • Product and market expertise in Drives related to HVAC systems and applications.
  • Strong understanding of customer needs and experience in client interactions.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written, with excellent communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and the Microsoft Office suite, along with experience in SFDC.
  • Must possess work authorization to be employed by ABB in the US.
