Position Summary:

This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage in diverse financial tasks and analyses, contributing to the formulation of monthly forecasts and the annual operational strategy. Under the guidance of the Transmission and Gas Budgeting Manager and Budget Analysts, the intern will be entrusted with responsibilities that align with the company's financial objectives.

Students must be enrolled full-time in a bachelor's degree program. The internship is designed to be part-time (~20-30 hours/week) during the academic semesters and may transition to full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer months. The company values flexibility and will accommodate the intern's academic schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of monthly variance reports for designated business units.
- Support the preparation of monthly accounting journal entries within the Oracle Financial system.
- Aid in project initiation within PowerPlan.
- Conduct queries on Oracle and PowerPlan databases, utilizing the results to update various Excel spreadsheets.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process for both Operations & Maintenance and Capital expenditures.
- Manage multiple assignments while maintaining a detailed record of accomplishments.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Manager or Budget Analysts.

Qualifications:
- Completion of the freshman year in an undergraduate program with a declared major in accounting, business, economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
