Enhancing financial management by evaluating, planning, and forecasting staffing requirements, program expansion, revenue potential, and assessing cost-saving strategies in conjunction with service area leadership as designated.

Ensures that services adhere to established productivity and financial benchmarks. Actively seeks opportunities to enhance efficiencies and presents actionable recommendations to leadership as necessary.

Core Accountabilities:
In partnership with department heads and managers, spearheads initiatives to develop staffing and scheduling frameworks for service areas; investigates, creates, and implements staffing and scheduling methodologies that foster a productive, adaptable, and efficient workforce; acts as the staffing subject matter expert as needed; collaborates with Directors and Managers to identify and facilitate internal and external productivity benchmarking processes and promotions; monitors and provides strategies for addressing external benchmark discrepancies and opportunities; aids in the development and oversight of departmental and individual unit productivity and staffing plans as required (i.e., recommends, implements, and/or administers new or revised programs and/or services in the plans for the Inpatient Care Division).


Acts as a liaison for the Inpatient Care Division with Healthcare Analytics, Clinical Analysts, Strategy Managers, Finance, and other relevant parties to support the decision-making process in nursing services.

Engages in and contributes to the continuous quality improvement initiatives of Norton Healthcare aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, increasing patient satisfaction, and optimizing the utilization of human, capital, and physical resources.

Participates in the formulation and management of budgets for all sectors of the Inpatient Care Division. Analyzes clinical and business information systems data to provide recommendations for operational and strategic planning.

Reviews and endorses all FTE proposals within the Inpatient Care Division to ensure alignment with productivity objectives, including verifying the accuracy of assumptions and data utilized in the proposal.

Reviews and approves all FTE replacements in collaboration with the FTE subcommittee.


Takes a proactive approach in extracting, analyzing, and interpreting both internal and external data (e.g., labor, census, Care Value, Position Management, etc.), making recommendations to leadership regarding services and associated resource utilization accordingly.

Summarizes data as needed. Prepares and presents results both orally and in writing to interested parties.

Qualifications:

Required:
Minimum of three years in data analysis

Bachelor's Degree

Preferred:
Minimum of three years in healthcare

Master's Degree

Project Management Professional certification
