Position Overview:
This role is essential in ensuring precise and timely payroll processing while overseeing and communicating employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other organizational offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

Benefits Management:
  • Administer employee benefits such as health coverage, retirement options, and additional voluntary benefits, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation.
  • Process changes in enrollment, terminations, invoice reconciliations, and adjustments to premiums.
  • Maintain comprehensive benefits records, ensuring precise payroll processing for all benefit-related updates.
  • Oversee leave tracking, generate reports, and provide guidance on leave policies.
  • Continuously enhance leave management processes for improved efficiency and employee satisfaction.
  • Play a pivotal role in the annual open enrollment process, including communications, training, and resolving issues.

Payroll & Compliance:
  • Develop and uphold payroll processes, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Manage full-cycle payroll, including multi-state processing, timecard evaluations, PTO tracking, and 401(k) contributions.
  • Ensure accurate HRIS and timekeeping records in collaboration with HR team members.
  • Oversee payroll tax compliance, including state registrations and timely responses to tax notices.
  • Address employee payroll inquiries promptly and accurately.
  • Support HR with daily operations and special projects as required.

Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll practices, tax regulations, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in payroll software, MS Office (especially Excel), and UKG timekeeping systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll processing for a workforce of 500+ employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. benefits laws and regulations (e.g., COBRA, ADA, FMLA).
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and UKG Pro.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
