About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Management Professional to join our team at GEODIS. As a key member of our logistics and supply chain team, you will be responsible for coordinating distribution and warehousing in a cross-dock operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Distribution and Warehousing: Oversee the efficient movement of goods and materials within our cross-dock operation, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to our customers.
  • Customer Service and Relationship Building: Collaborate with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the area.
  • Operational Planning and Optimization: Develop plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees, ensuring maximum productivity and minimal waste.
  • Cost Management and Control: Review costs and make recommendations to maintain and enhance profitable operation of divisions.
  • Marketing and Sales Support: Participate in marketing and sales efforts, ensuring assigned facilities have the resources necessary to meet company goals and objectives, as well as P&L responsibilities.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise several warehouse positions, including Team Leaders and Operations Supervisors.
  • Food Safety and Compliance: For food accounts, ensure compliance with food safety regulations and report any issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 Years of Related Experience: Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • PC Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Preferred Requirements: Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
