Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Electrical Technology courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, evaluating student progress, and maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

This is a part-time position, with a maximum of five classes per academic year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical Technology and excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Teach Electrical Technology courses at various times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Evaluate student progress and inform students of their progress in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community

The successful candidate will also be expected to have:

  • Mastery of course content
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to diversity and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • An Associate's degree in Electrical Technology or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology and a minimum of 3 years work-related experience
