The Adjunct Faculty, Computer Information Technology-Microsoft System Admin will be responsible for teaching Computer Technology courses at various times and locations. The ideal candidate will create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material. Additionally, the instructor will submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner, utilize a course syllabus for each course, and meet with students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods.
The instructor will also evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress. Furthermore, the instructor will maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community, attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required, and be responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess mastery of course content, demonstrated leadership skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to appreciate alternative viewpoints. The instructor will also demonstrate interest in interdisciplinary teaching, service learning, learning technologies, course development, and adult learning methodologies including collaborative learning, learning communities, and distance learning.
The Adjunct Faculty, Computer Information Technology-Microsoft System Admin will be committed to academic excellence, exceptional service, and providing a dynamic climate for life-long learning. The instructor will also demonstrate the ability to use effective strategies to engage students in their learning and utilize a variety of teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in an IT or Business IT-related field, and 3 years nonteaching work experience related to the course.
