Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Veterinary Technology courses at Lone Star College. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, evaluating student progress, and maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

This is a part-time position, contingent upon student demand, with a maximum of five classes per academic year. Classes are offered at various times and locations during the academic year.

Responsibilities

The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for:

  • Teaching Veterinary Technology courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Submitting required college reports and forms in a timely manner
  • Utilizing a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attending meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in veterinary technology from an AVMA-accredited program
  • A LVT Licensed Veterinary Technician or a licensed DVM with 3 years nonteaching work experience in the field
