Rockbridge Area Community Services is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our team as a School Intervention Specialist. This role involves providing direct behavioral interventions, therapeutic activities, and psychoeducational treatment to children and adolescents in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement behavioral interventions and therapeutic activities for children and adolescents with mental, behavioral, or emotional illnesses.
- Provide case coordination, case documentation, consultation, education, and psychotherapeutic activities.
- Work collaboratively with school administration and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field, plus one year of clinical experience working with children/adolescents in a mental health setting.
- Registration with the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Child (QMHP-C) or Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee (QMHP Trainee) is preferred.
- Valid VA driver's license and a safe driving record.
