Key Responsibilities- Process prescriptions for patients and their families in the clinic setting, working closely with pharmacists to ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing.
- Collect medication histories, fill scripts, and coordinate payments, maintaining effective communication with ambulatory-based clinical pharmacists, social workers, and other team members as needed.
- Communicate with patients, clinical practices, and family members to ensure ongoing medication access and resolve any issues related to coverage or eligibility.
- Support all myPennPharmacy services as needed, collaborating with internal team members to gather necessary paperwork, prescriptions, and billing information.
- Provide education to patients and clinical practices regarding patient insurance coverage and discharge medications, ensuring a seamless transition of care.
- Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) is required.
- High school graduate/equivalent is required.
- Ability to perform dosage calculations, communicate effectively with hospital personnel, and maintain proficiency in Pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing software.
